How Long Does it Take to Rank on Google?

“How long will it take my website to rank on top of Google?”

How Old are the Top-Ranking Pages?
Sites that are older and trusted are more likely to have a higher ranking on Google than newer websites, provided other SEO factors remain equal. This is not to say that new websites can’t achieve good rankings, it simply means that it’s likely to take longer to do so.
Websites are considered new when they are active for 6 months or less. After that 6-month period, your website has the potential to seriously jump up the ranks.
Research conducted by ahrefs first identified how old the current top-ranking pages are. Using 2 million random keywords, they were able to extract data on the top 10 ranking pages for each keyword. On average, the highest-ranking pages each of the keywords were older than 850 days (the age was calculated from the date when the Search Engine Crawlers first saw the page).
Less than 2% of pages that were ranked No. 1 were less than a year old. So, we can see that the higher rankings are dominated by “older” pages.

So… How Long?
